SIV.AG and Deutsche Telekom Enter Into Sales Partnership

Complete Package for Smart Metering Presented at E-world energy & water 2015

Roggentin, 3 February 2015. Together with Deutsche Telekom, SIV.AG is putting together a package for intelligent metering systems. The modular package offered to energy providers by SIV.AG covers the whole process chain – from technical sourcing, installation and administration of equipment through processing metering data to billing.

“By linking Deutsche Telekom’s Smart Meter Gateway Administration solution to our ERP system kVASy® 5, we can offer our customers the highest possible quality and security standard to meet the challenges of the future under attractive conditions in a regulatory environment heavily focussed on cost. And the utility company retains control of its data at all times,” stresses Jörg Sinnig, Chairman of the Board at SIV.AG.

Energy suppliers are at liberty to decide which services they provide themselves or in collaboration with partners experienced at providing solutions in the complex overall “intelligent metering systems” scenario. To this end, both companies have developed individual, process-orientated and cost-driven implementation models which, in addition to the possibility of in-house and cloud operation, also include full or partial process outsourcing to SIV Utility Services GmbH. This covers a tailored solution scenario using the services of SIV.AG and Deutsche Telekom in each case – such as installation of the equipment or secure data transmission in a Public Key infrastructure in accordance with the standards of the German Federal Agency for Security in Information Technology. The energy suppliers also benefit from Deutsche Telekom’s many years of experience and network competency in technical mass rollouts – combined with the industry expertise of SIV.AG.

“As we all operate software modules for Smart Metering on standardised and scalable platforms, SIV.AG’s customers are therefore fully prepared to start reading their data in the shortest possible timescale – and at a very attractive price,” says Dr. Frank Schmidt, Energy Group Business Manager at T-Systems.

The complete portfolio of services will be presented for the first time at E-world energy & water 2015 (SIV.AG: Hall 3, Stand 350, Deutsche Telekom: Hall 3, Stand 416).
